This week I ended up going for a more “vintage” look I guess. Just kind of turned out that way. I was walking around a park that led into a neighborhood next to Lake Washington and found this. I thought it was so interesting and unique that even though I felt awkward taking pictures of someones yard, I did it anyway:) It was just…. art! All the mismatched lawn furniture sinking into the grass was fantastic. The only thing that would have made this better was if there were people sitting at the table, how awesome would that be?
The Hawaiian pattern flowers on the chairs gave me that old school feel (and the fact that it looks like it’s been there for a while) and I ended up playing around with light leak-ish things. I’m not super sure on how I feel about them but it doesn’t look awful and it’s something new for me so I ran with it. The original picture by itself was asking for more and I didn’t know what else to do with it I guess.
I find it silly that it’s summer already and we’ve only had two really lovely days so far. Everyone keeps hoping I guess for sun, can you blame them? I am constantly seeing people in shorts or dresses and it’s still gray and dark outside. This photo kind of embodies that, putting out the lawn furniture a liiiiiiiiiittle prematurely, eh? lol
I wish I could do a shoot with people in their yard. I should totally knock on their door and ask LOL
